Seems like a new year always brings a new focus and planning for both people and companies. I have heard almost everyone say they have some sort of personal goal for this year, whether it be excercising, stressing less, surfing more… something that gets them out of the starting gate. Businesses tend to also use this time to plan for the future. I think it is the ability to slow down a bit over the holidays that allows organizations to pause and reconsider their future direction.

ChipIn has gone through such a process. We started our company as a personal fundraising service and have since morphed it into a distributed fundraising widget management company. We have changed based on the changing marketplace and also responding to our customers and partnerships. I can confidently say that we have the most sophisticated fundraising widget system on the market today and our feature list is growing each week. We have the raw ingredients, so it is now time to put it all together into a tasty dish.

This past week with the entire team in Honolulu, we have spent many hours planning our business strategy and a product roadmap. As a startup we have been agile and flexible with our direction, but I feel we have found our perfect niche and we have found our path. We will be providing a fundraising widget platform for both donorware companies and social media sites while planning our new enterprise widget platform code named Netvocate.

I continue to be awed and honored to have people write about us and send us in suggestions for improvements. This is an amazing ride so far….
